Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for your continued support of Reclaiming Our Youth Services (ROYS). Because of your encouragement and commitment to our mission, we are able to continue uplifting and guiding young people in our community toward brighter futures. Today, we invite you to stand with us once again.

🚶🏾‍♂️ 5K Purple for Peace Walk: Reclaiming Our Youth

ROYS is partnering with local organizations, community members, law enforcement, and our youth to host our 5K Purple for Peace Walk.

Date: April 25, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: MUSC Hospital Walking Tracks

This walk is held in recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a national observance dedicated to honoring victims of crime and supporting the families and communities affected by violence. In a time when our community continues to experience violence among our youth, this event provides an opportunity for us to come together in unity, healing, and hope.

What better way for a community to stand together than by walking side-by-side — supporting one another and demonstrating our shared commitment to peace and positive change.

🌟 The Work Continues

Reclaiming Our Youth Services remains deeply committed to supporting our youth and strengthening our community.

Our work includes:

Mentoring youth at the STAR Center and Refocus Academy, the alternative schools serving Orangeburg.

Next Level Men's Cohort – working with young men ages 14–18 to promote positive thinking, leadership development, and strong character.

Healing Hearts Support Group – a safe space for mothers who have experienced the loss of a child to violence to receive support, healing, and encouragement.

These programs reflect our belief that when we invest in our youth and support families affected by violence, we strengthen the entire community.

🤝 We Need Your Support

VOLUNTEERS: If you would like to volunteer in anyway, please complete the volunteer form on the website. www.reclaimingouryouthservices.com/volunteer

We invite you to join us for this meaningful event. Your presence helps remind victims and families that they are not alone, and that our community stands together in compassion, resilience, and hope.   Together, we can continue to make a difference.

Wear PURPLE for peace and walk with us as we stand together for our youth and our community.

With gratitude,

Reclaiming Our Youth Services (ROYS)
