Graduated Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with an Associate degree in Nursing
Graduated Claflin University with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science degree in Nursing
My name is Ashley Gibbs-Sanders, BSN, RN. I am a Bachelors prepared registered nurse at MUSC Health Orangeburg in the Intensive Care Unit. I am currently a Master’s student with a degree tract specific to Family Nurse Practitioner at Claflin University and will be graduating next month. I plan to go into primary care for all age groups, treating common conditions in all (but catered to the African American) communities such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid diseases, anxiety, depression, etc. Receiving the Isaac A. Wilson scholarship, of which I am honored to have carried the name and his legacy, has allowed me to break barriers in the community and local healthcare system. Thank you for the opportunity to do so in the previous years!
