About the event
JD Weise is a law enforcement officer with the Moncks Corner Police Department since 2006. A Charleston, SC resident and father of three, he lost his 14-year-old son Dalton to suicide on September 11, 2024. JD now dedicates himself to raising awareness about impulsive suicide, encouraging open conversations among parents, and helping others find hope and purpose by inspiring them to become the best versions of themselves.
This event is for youth, parents, educators, and community members who want to understand the roots of gun violence and how to prevent it. It is a space for real stories and honest conversation.
